Odios Obvios.

For some weeks now, my friend Bego and I have been secretly working on these illustrations for our new Tumblr blog called "Odios Obvios", which means obvious hates (the name doesn't translate so well). Each week we will illustrate things that seam obviously hateful to us.

I'm borrowing a Wacom tablet and been drawing little people for an illustration for Vers Beton. Coming up soon!

Gouache.

It had been years since the last time I used gouache paints. I have been seeing more illustrations lately done with these paints and started feeling jealous. So yesterday I treated myself to a few tubes and had a go. This post is also a sneak peak of a project I'm working on with the writer Adele Chong. 

This was done during the course I've joined at Studio Kolectiv. 

Transgender Transformation Flipbook.

As part of The Flip Collection III at Printroom, I'm making this flipbook titled "Transgender Transformation". 

The drawings are done by hand and later coloured in Photoshop. There are 42 frames, which was a lot of work. But if someone in the cartoon industry heard me they would laugh. This gave me a small (tiny, infinitesimal)  taste of the amount of work that goes into making a full animation film. Mind blowing.

Self-made Christmas presents.

I hand painted, cut and sew these personalized dolls for my sister, her partner and my nephew. It was a fun (and tedious!) process. A special thanks goes to my friend Conxa who helped me with her sewing machine skills.
